Baduk/Weiqi/Go for Beginners (20 - 10 kyu)

The baduk videos on this page are aimed at double digit kyu players. Calling an 11 kyu a beginner is a bit harsh, so please don't be offended. So... have you bought a go board yet? If not, check out the go equipment guide on this website!

These first 4 videos are from the 51th European Go Congress in Villach, Austria. The teacher is Guo Juan, a well respected 5 dan professional. In the first video she mentions that the lecture is for 30 kyu to 10 kyu players, but it's more tailored for the stronger double digit kyus(20 kyu and better) in my opinion. If you are new to go, you should definitely watch the baduk for beginners videos in the 30-20 kyu section first! She also mentions that this is her second lecture. The first one was not recorded.

The teacher in the next 8 videos is Kang Seung-hee, a 2 dan professional. The joseki variation she shows is very useful to know because plenty of beginners, and even single digit kyus up to around 6 kyu make mistakes here.

The final 9 videos are form a lecture by Guo Juan. This baduk lesson is meant for a wide range of playing levels, but the stronger double digit and weaker single digit kyus should get the most out of it.
